The University of Luxembourg has an opening in its Faculty of Law,
Economics and Finance for
1 Assistant (PhD student) in Finance (M/F)
With a specialisation in empirical finance
* Ref: F2-060009 (to be mentioned in all correspondence)
* 2-year fixed-term contract, 40h/week, renewable once
* Employee and student status
The assistant will be working within the Luxembourg School of Finance.
The assistant is expected to contribute to research projects in the
area of empirical finance.
Tasks
* The assistant’s main task will consist of contributing to the
research within the Luxembourg school of Finance and preparing a
doctoral thesis in the field of empirical finance. The thesis is to be
prepared at the University of Luxembourg.
* Contribute to the teaching at the rate of one to three hours per
week of small group teaching and tutorials.
Profile
* Master’s degree in finance or econometrics.
* Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment:
fluency in either English or French, good understanding of the second
language and possibly a third language, German in particular, will be
considered an advantage.
Offer
* Personal work space at the University (full-time contract requires
the assistant to work on the University premises).
